Panajachel

Panajachel is located in the region of the Highlands of Guatemala, in the Department of Sololá, Panajachel or Pana, is one of the most important destinations in the country, after La Antigua Guatemala.

How to Get to Panajachel

There is basicly to ways to como to Pana, one way is to come by Chicken Bus, from Guatemala City price is about $4.

Panajachel is relatively small, touristic areas are 1ave Santander, Calle Principal and the public beach. One can walk any where in 10-15 minutes. Panajachel is also the port of access to other town around the lake atitlan, like Santa Catarina Palolpó, San Antonio Palolpó, Jaibalito, San Marcos la Lagua, San Juan la Laguna, San Pedro la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan, the boats depart from the embarcadero Tzanjuyub and the prices vary from Q10 to Q25.
